Reunion Details

The Pacific Northwest awaits your presence at this year’s USS Frank E. Evans Association Reunion. Our reunion starts Wednesday, September 11, in Spokane Valley, Washington at the Mirabeau Park Hotel and Convention Center – 1100 N. Sullivan Blvd., Spokane Valley, WA 99037.

Getting to & Around Spokane

  • Airport: Spokane International Airport, serviced by Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta, Southwest, United, Sun Country Airlines
  • The hotel is located about 20 miles from the Spokane International Airport.
  • Uber, Lyft (approx. $52) and local taxi service (approx. $60) is available from the airport to the hotel.
  • The hotel is offering a shuttle van (12 passengers) for $75 per trip. Coordinated trips can potentially lower the cost per person significantly. The hotel needs to know in advance when groups will be arriving at the Spokane International Airport. To take advantage of this offer, the hotel needs to know your flight information in advance. We’ve added a section to the registration form to complete if you want to use the hotel shuttle from / to the airport.

  • Downtown Spokane, Riverfront Park & Crosby House
  • Coeur d’Alene, Falls Park & Lake Coeur d’Alene
  • Look for the list of many restaurants, breweries and wineries to be included in your Welcome Reunion Package.

Reunion Hotel Information

Make your room reservations now by calling the Mirabeau Park Hotel. If you wish, you can make your reservation through the hotel’s website, but you’ll be limited to a double queen bed selection. If you call the hotel, make sure you inform the hotel that you are with the USS Frank E. Evans Association – Group Code 2044.

  • Complimentary street level parking.
  • Shuttle service to & from the Spokane International Airport at a base trip fee of $75. This is a coordinated trip offered only through the hotel – please read the additional information above.
  • Room Reservation Cut-Off Date: Saturday, August 10, 2024. After the cut-off date, reservations by attendees will be accepted upon availability at the current rates.

Rooms:

  • Standard King or Double Queen (King beds dependent upon availability, first come, first serve basis.) Room rate @ $127 per night, single or double occupancy + tax.
  • King Kitchenette Suite ( Fourteen (14) suites upon availability & first come, first serve basis.) Room rate @ $169 per night, single or double occupancy + tax.
  • Jacuzzi Suite (Four (4) suites upon availability & first come, first serve basis.) Room rate @ $199 per night, single or double occupancy + tax.
  • Breakfast is available each day for $10 per person. Breakfast will be in our Hospitality Room (Pondarosa Room), Thursday through Sunday. Upon check-in select if you want breakfast and receive breakfast vouchers.
  • Check-in time is 3:00pm, check-out time is 11:00am
  • Pets allowed / $30 one time fee.

  • Read the entire packet, including itinerary and tour information.
  • Complete the registration form (colored in the mailed packets, link above for online version). Select your Meals, Tours & Registration.
  • Early Bird Registration – Our early bird incentive offer includes:

    • Opportunity to coordinate seating with your friends and family
    • Entry into a drawing for a free night’s stay (Drawing on Friday evening.)

Early Bird Reservations must be postmarked no later than July 16, 2024 (Early Bird Deadline extended!)

Events & Tours

Wednesday, September 11, 2024, 5:00pm to 10:00pm – Pub Crawl

  • Price per Person, $42.00 – includes bus & gratuities
  • Dress is casual.
  • Assemble in the lobby at 4:45pm. Bus leaves the hotel at 5:00pm.
  • Travel to Boomers for our first stop on the crawl, dinner is on your own here! Website: www.boomers-spokanevalley.com
    • Boomers provides fantastic cuisine unique to a live music venue. Decadent burgers can all be enjoyed while listening to your favorite classic rock music played live by talented and energetic local bands.
  • Next we’ll head to Bone Yard, a local’s favorite for cocktails, craft beers and local wines.
  • Our last stop is Ichabod’s – considered one the Coolest Bar in Spokane! Awesome bartenders, great drinks, pull tabs, free ping pong, shuffle board, pool tables, pinball, foosball, air hockey, Golden Tee and an awesome patio.
  • We will return to the Mirabeau Park Hotel by 10pm.

Thursday, September 12, 2024 – 9:00am to 4:00pm – Tour Downtown Spokane, Riverfront Park & Crosby House

  • Price per person, $55.00 – includes guided tour, bus & gratuities, tickets for carrousel and entrance to Crosby House.
  • Tour starts with a bus guided tour of downtown Spokane & Spokane Falls.
  • We will stop in Riverfront Park, home to the World’s Fair in 1924. This year marks the 50th anniversary since Expo 74.
  • Take a ride on the Looff Carrousel (ticket included).
  • Ride the Skyride at an additional price of $12.95 per person.
  • Lunch is on your own, plenty of restaurants, and gift shops for those who are inclined to shop.
  • Next we’ll be back on the bus and travel over the river and drive through Gonzaga University where Bing Crosby’s childhood home is located. This home contains over 200 items of the Bing Crosby collection.

  • Gather in the hospitality room for an evening of surprises, trivia and games.

Friday, September 13, 2024 – 10:15am to 4:00pm – Tour Coeur d’Alene, Falls Park and Boat Trip Lake Coeur d’Alene

  • Price per person, $68.00 – includes guided bus tour, waterfalls, lake boat tour.
  • Assemble in hotel lobby promptly at 10:15am – bus leaves at 10:30am.
  • We will travel toward Coeur D’Alene stopping to see various waterfalls in teh Coeur D’Alene area.
  • We will stop in the quaint section of CDA and allow the group to walk the city. Lunch is on your own – lots of restaurants and shopping in the area.
  • The CDA resort is a must to see and have lunch.
  • Our private 90-minute boat tour leaves the dock at 2:30pm.
  • We will return to the hotel at approximately 4:45pm.
