USS Frank E Evans (DD 754) served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. She was decommissioned and recommissioned twice. The ship was made of metal riveted and welded over a skeletal frame. Hundreds of ships like Evans were built in the early 1940s, by the site they looked alike but each was different in its own way.
